Toxic masculinity is the idea that men are taught notions about their gender role from an early age. Alpha explores these notions alongside an editorial campaign featuring Lazy Oafs Autumn/Winter collection. With an element of playfulness and humour, the publication aims to subvert the typical attributes often associated with the term masculinity. Through illustration, poetry, interviews, and photography, Alpha explores how young modern men are affected by socially taught roles and that differing from them does not make a person any less of a ‘man’.
